Cannabis/Marijuana is Still Federally Illegal

It is the responsibility of the card holder to know the specific laws in regards to state and federal use and guidelines.

The medical Cannabis program in Maine is a state program. We cannot accept federal identification as cannabis is still federally illegal. You must have a Maine state license or ID to obtain a Medical Card in Maine.

Beach Health Center does NOT fill out forms

Beach Health Center only issues MMCP cards, we will not complete work/BMV/ or any kind of forms or paperwork related to Medical Cannabis and its use.

We cannot fill out employer paperwork as we cannot attest to person use and how it will affect work

Need a replacement card?

If you have been seen by our office, and have lost or have accidentally destroyed your medical card, reprinted replacement cards are now FREE up to 2 reprints a year, each card reprint after the 2nd card is $25.. (These cards are not eligible for in store promotions or our goodie bags.)

How do I get an MMCP Certificate?

You only need to be 18+ , your Maine state license or ID, and $50 to obtain an MMCP certificate.

We take cash or debit/credit.

We cannot accept passports or mail as verification of residency, per the OCP (Office of Cannabis Policy of Maine) it must be a valid Maine state license or ID.

Passports are federal identification, cannabis is still federally illegal, to obtain a med card in Maine you must have a valid Maine state license or ID no exceptions.

Who knows I have a Card?

MMCP certificates are protected by medical privacy. No one but you and anyone you tell know you have a card. There is no state registry.

I want to cancel my card

There is no formal way to cancel your MMCP card. Sine there is no registry, there is no "cancelation". You can destroy your card as you like.

Why do I need a card?

If you would like to purchase Medical Marijuana/Cannabis in Maine you need to have a MMCP certificate. You do not have to have a card to purchase in Maine , there are recreational dispensaries available.

The MMCP program allows patients to purchase cannabis at a decrease price, larger amounts, and a larger range of edibles/mg's. The taxes on medical are less as well. There is also more privacy with medical.
